Courage InterviewOne of the interviewers I was interviewing, Rob, was an amazing, courageous, happy man. Simon Cross and I were assigned him and it was an amazing experience to interview a docent. The interview took roughly 35 minutes, I think, and it was emotional and inspirational.

For this product, we had to choose an event that "showed" courageous acts. My partners were Sophia Morrison and Linnea E. and we chose to do the Tsunami in Japan. We chose this because the survivors were very courageous and strong, even though their home was destroyed and their families were scattered.
The title of our light box was "Light after the Disaster" and the little girl was named "Youko". Our Artist statement was: Light After The Disaster This lightbox is dedicated to the survivors of the tsunami in Japan. They had hope even when their town was crumbling and their families missing. In the lightbox, there’s a little girl with her teddy bear, alone, walking towards the Tsunami. Her name is Youko, the Japanese “You” meaning sunlight and ocean and “ko” meaning child. We thought that the lightbox would symbolize courage, hope, and the light after a disaster. Writing piecesDuring this project, we made two writing pieces, one about courage and the other about moral courage in To Kill a Mockingbird.
