The purpose of this project was to "introduce your individual identity and to establish out collective identity", as our project description packet said, and we expressed ourselves through writing paragraphs of memories in 10 different literary devices as well as a meaningful presentation of those paragraphs. I have been able to write a lot about myself constantly throughout all of middle school and high school, though each time I improved on how to tell it and I've gotten to say a lot in this project.
In this project, I would say the most challenging part was finding a piece of me for one of my paragraphs as well as trying to present my paragraphs on something eye catching. I like writing, but I couldn't find something that was ironic about me. I first went with something that was connected to my antagonist but it didn't exactly work because it wasn't very ironic. I tired to change it into a story about me disliking cucumbers, but that didn't fit very well, which led me to think about my name. My name and my personality clashed a lot so it was a lot easier to fill the paragraph for Irony. For my presentation, I thought about incorporating my family's traditional-type dresses with a poster board, but I realized a bit late that the dress was hardly mentioned in the paragraphs, and just let the poster board present itself in the end. They both turned out to still be very good pieces of my project though. |
